Hilton Head Lakes makes big splash in housing market

Despite a weak housing market all systems are go as developers revamp the old Tradition Hilton Head into Hilton Head Lakes North.
Director of sales Matt Peebles said that work will begin in the next few weeks on a seven-home model park built by the developers' construction company, Citizens Homes.
Prospective buyers will be able to walk through the model homes, pick a floor plan and "choose any lot they wish, which is different than in most communities," he said. "We can build the houses or people can bring any builder they want in."
